Seaside was founded in 2013 in Redondo Beach, CA. Our second location opened in 2020 in Evergreen Park, IL. 

Seaside is a place students come to with questions, concerns, and aspirations about their academic futures. Our teachers provide individualized instruction to answer questions, address concerns, and assist students in reaching their full academic potential. Mrs. Meredith

Owner

Our Owner, Mrs. Meredith, earned a Master of Arts in Education from Loyola Marymount University and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Southern California. 

Mrs. Meredith holds California teaching credentials for Elementary Education & Upper Level Science. She also has a professional educators license from the state of Illinois with endorsements in Elementary Education, English as a Second Language, General Science, and Earth & Space Science.

She has over 15 years of experience in private & public education. Mrs. Meredith also teaches Anatomy & Physiology at Mother McAuley High School in Chicago, IL. 

Mrs. Meredith teaches out of our Evergreen Park, IL location.

Mrs. Kelsey

Mrs. Kelsey attended Eastern Illinois University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. She holds a professional educators license from the state of Illinois with endorsements in Elementary Education, Middle School, Language Arts, and Science. 

In addition to teaching at our Evergreen Park, IL location Mrs. Kelsey is also a middle school science teacher. Mrs. Kelsey has 10 years of teaching experience with all grade levels in multiple subjects. 

A fun fact about her is that she has been playing the flute since she was 10 years old and the piccolo since high school.

Mr. Tom

Mr.Tom is a Diverse Learners teacher in the Acero Charter Network. He has been teaching since 2014 and has experience working with middle school students in reading, math, and writing. Mr.Tom holds a Master’s degree in Education from Olivet University and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management from The Franciscan University. He is certified in LBS1 Special Education, K–9 Math and Social Science, and holds an ESL endorsement. He is passionate about helping students grow in confidence and academic skills.

Ms. Cheryl

Ms. Cheryl received her Bachelors Degree from Illinois State University and her Masters Degree from Saint Xavier University. She holds a professional educators license from the state of Illinois and has worked with children for over 30 years. 

Ms. Cheryl started her career in early childhood education and went on to teach Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. Ms. Cheryl is currently teaching Social Emotional Learning to K-6th graders at Horizon Science Academy Southwest, a charter school in the Gage Park area. 

Ms. Cheryl loves tutoring because she gets to work one on one with her students.

Ms. Gianna

Ms. Gianna obtained her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from St.Ambrose University. She is licensed to teach students in grades K-8 with an endorsement in Language Arts. She currently teaches kindergarten at a public school in Oak Lawn. She loves that Seaside gives her the experience of working one-on-one with students in all grade levels. In her free time, she likes to spend time with family and friends, go to the gym, and read!
